Aslo Media service promise

AsloMedia
Function of media

A service promise contains several functions. It all starts with a call for tenders. A question pops up in our email, usually with a bit of an explanation about the date of the event and the calibre of the production required. We call the client and ask a few more in-depth questions to start building a production plan. We've done a lot of gigs so usually the basic idea is the same. Of course, there are exceptions and more unusual orders from time to time.

The production plan records the schedule of the event, including assembly and dismantling. We usually allow about 3-5 hours to assemble the technology. If necessary, the technology can be set up in less than an hour, but fortunately there is rarely a need for such speeds. Our stripping crew goes through the camera and streaming equipment needed for the event, while the undersigned is figuring out how to get the sound out on location and simultaneously over the internet. Sometimes events include remote speakers. From somewhere in Finland or from anywhere in the world. So we test the connections with the remote speakers in advance and teach them how to use the system used at the event.

Whenever possible, we will go on site to see the technology and routes of the venue. With everything being automated and electronic nowadays, we have found that a potentially nervous client is reassured by seeing us well in advance of the event.

We usually visit the venue a little over a week before the actual event. This has proved to be a really important part of our production chain as it means there are no surprises in terms of technology or space. "Ohhoh there wasn't this or that". We usually bring our own sound system. This ensures that the sound is of high quality and sounds exactly as we want it to.

Our stripping team usually creates custom digitally displayed name graphics for the performers and we have also made several small promotional videos for events. At the moment (unless you're reading this years from now), a promotional video we shot for the final event of the Young Entrepreneurship Competition on 24 April 2024 is playing in the Tripla shopping centre.

We will go through the event several times and prepare for any problems that might arise. In other words, we prepare for the worst, but hope for the best.

Depending on how it is arranged, we ask the performers for their performances in advance and check that everything is in order. Normally, performers will give their final version of their performance about an hour before their own performance, but fortunately we have made provision for this too.

On the day of the show, we assemble the technology and test it until everything is ready for broadcast. We handle the shipment ourselves with respect and professionalism until the end, after which we unpack and transport the equipment back to our office at Höyläämötie 18 in Pitäjänmäki.

We have made "behind-the-scenes" type videos of the gigs that we post either the same day or the next day at the latest. Sometimes a recording of the gig is made and reviewed by us before it is sent to the client. Finally, an invoice is sent and nothing else but the same again.

A gig day is usually just the tip of the iceberg as all the testing and the above takes up the largest percentage of our production time. We want to make sure everything is clear to everyone and especially that everything works.

We like to work with a good vibe and we want that to reach the customer. We don't want to leave anything unclear. Performers or organisers may be nervous and we do our best to lighten the mood with our presence and wooden leg jokes. Without forgetting professionalism.

We've put together a small sample of our gigs. You can see it in the box below this sentence
