Live broadcasting of an event is already inherently ecological, as it reduces the amount of people travelling. For example, speaking remotely from abroad reduces the need to fly, while people often still drive their own cars when travelling at home. Good design can also create a warm and inclusive atmosphere at a hybrid or virtual event.
